In a large 6 qt dutch oven pot, melt the butter. Add the roast, seasonings, worcestershire sauce, bbq sauce, and brown the roast for a few minutes on each side.
Put the lid on the pot and put it in the oven at 300 degrees. Cook for 1 hour and then check the liquid level. You want the liquid to be at least halfway up the thickness of the roast. If there is not enough, add some water. Then return to the oven and cook for another two hours.
Take the roast out of the oven and check the tenderness of the beef. You should be able to easily pull it apart with tongs. If it's not tender enough, return the oven for another 30 minutes.
When the roast is done, take the meat out and place it on a cutting board or plate.Put the pot on the stove and turn the stove on. Bring the liquid to a boil.
Put the pot on the stove and turn the stove on. Bring the liquid to a boil.
Meanwhile, mix the packet of gravy in a small bowl with 1 cup of water. Then whisk the gravy into the pot of liquid on the stove. It will thicken after a minute or two. If you want it thicker, add another half cup of water and gravy packet. Turn off the heat as soon as it's thick enough.
