I got this Sweet and Spicy Sesame Chicken from my sister. She’s an amazing cook! Here is her Instagram – emy_eats_05 if you would like to check out her page :).
Most of these ingredients you probably have on hand. These kind of sauces cook best in a non stick pan. I love the set of frying pans I have because they are non toxic and non stick. They are so easy to clean. Click here for the GreenPan.
SWEET AND SPICY SESAME CHICKEN
This recipe is so flavorful and the sauce is so easy to make. Serve over white rice and stir fry veggies. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 5-6 Chicken thighs
- 2 Tbsp Sesame oil (for pan)
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 4 Tbsp Brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp Yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp Sriracha
- 1 Tbsp Minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, sriracha, and garlic.
- In a non stick pan, heat the oil and cook the chicken thighs for 10 min each side or until all the way done. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your chicken.
- When chicken is done, pour the sauce into the pan and let simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce reduces a little. Then turn off heat.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve over white rice and stir fry veggies. Enjoy!
